    Supermarine Spitfire LF. Mk.Vb

Although best known as a fighter the Spitfire also undertook a number of specialist roles for the RAF. Towards the end of the war the Vb was used as a high speed air sea rescue machine. Operating over the sea off the Suffolk coast, these Spitfires were able to spot downed aircrew and radio their position to enable Coastal Command or the Royal Navy to rescue them.

Overall a very nice kit to build with little filling and no flash to clean up. Painted with Tamiya acrylics and weathered with Flory washes.

My only slight concern was how brittle the decals were but after a few drops of Micro Set were added to my water they went on easily enough.

Really decent quick turn around mate, with this and the bus that's two quality models you've turned round in the time I've managed a cockpit , a gun mount/rear of engine and a bit of scratch building!

          Good going Ade

Great build Adrian, love the clipped wing version of the Spitfire, makes it stand out from the crowd. Great painting.

Looks good, the base helps it along nicely.
