    Completed papa 695s WWI dogfight

Well I've decided to call these completed. Sorry about the rigging I just didn't have anything fine enough to do it with.

2 great little kits to build loved every minute of the build.

A most excellent build and a cracking little diorama.

Superb job Ian , a beautiful little scene. Excellently built and painted and the base is perfect , i bet its only about four inches square isn't it!? Loving those little trees too although Manfred ( or is it Lothar?) needs to watch out or he might get a mouthful of leaves!! The only thing wrong with this is that its making me want to have a go at one of these tiny biplanes !!  Cheers tony

Maybe he should have shot the Fokker down when he had the chance !

The dastardly Hun on the tail of our gallant pilot!  I'm sure he'll turn the tables

Great work Ian, both planes are brilliant & the base gives it a lovely sense of action

Stuff the rigging -at that scale, this is an impressive build, not to mention paint job. The only, and I mean ONLY thing I'd add is a faint dusting of, say buff, or even raw umber, just to kill the saturation a bit. I often want to say this about other dios, but have always backed off, as they are usually so amazing, it seems churlish to say it! Walk up to any theatre set, and you'll see tiny splashes of fine paint, all over, just to stop it looking like it has just been built and painted. Folks have this down to a fine art over here, for the models, but I think that foliage and grasses will look sooooo much better just dirtied down a bit. We are talking subtle here

Back to the important bit, this is an epic little dio! I'd lose what is left of my hair attempting this.
