    41(F) Squadron in 1/48 - The Final Chapter!!

    Hi all;

    Well, as many of you know, over the past few years I've been building the history of my old squadron, Number 41 (Fighter) Squadron, in 1/48 scale. After 4 years or so, I've finally finished - the last one off the production line is the Revell Typhoon FGR4, with Xtradecal decals showing the jet decorated for the Squadron's 100th Anniversary this year.  I replaced the whole intake section with a resin replacement by heritage (lots of surgery!), and added Eduard bling here and there, notably in the cockpit and seat. Finished with Tamiya Sky Grey, with weathering kept to just a bit of post-shading, as this is a clean aeroplane (mostly).

    Thanks for watching over all this time!!

    Andy

          Great job on the Euro fighter it looks great. A very worthy end to a great collection. Unless they get a new bird in the foreseeable future.

              Very nice, the post shading came out really well, bringing a low viz' scheme to life.

                      the red scheme is striking and lives up the low vis grey camo. Good job

                        Great job Andy

                        It's been interesting and a pleasure to see this 'squadron through the ages' and this final is no different. Magnificent work on the Eurofighter. The preshading and striking  scheme makes this a an outstanding piece of work.

                        Congrats Andy
