    Fw 190 V18 in 1/48 (HobbyBoss)

    Hi folks!!!

My new "workbench-product" is HobbyBoss' new Fw 190 V18 in 1/48 scale.
The V18 was the first prototype, which was equipped over time with different planned for the altitude fighter variant of the C-Series equipment such as a pressurized cabin, extended wings, a DB 603 G engine and a four-bladed propeller. The machine was also fitted in upgrading state V18 / U1 with Hirth 9-2281 turbocharger under the fuselage. To test these and other exhaust gas turbocharger, the prototype V29, V30, V32 and V33 were built after the V18. But all corresponded with the V18 / U1.

The kit has a good fit and nice details. I built the V18 out of box. Colours from Humbrol (RLM 02), Vallejo and Revell. Weathering with a light washing of diluted oilpaint and use of various pastels.

    Best regards from Germany
    Stefan

Awesome work Stefan. An unusual subject, not seen one of these built before. As usual from you, nicely posed and photographed.
