This is my complete Mig 21 for the Mig21 SIG July - Dec 2016. The link to the build thread is at the bottom of the post.
Build Summary
This is not the greatest of kits out there. But for $6 (AUD) it was a fun build. I scratch built the cockpit using spares from an old Tamiya Kit. The paint job was done using Humbrol enamels. Most of the decals are from other kits, as I wanted to build a German version. One of the decals, the Academy ones silvered a bit, even when I had a gloss undercoat and had applied plenty of decal softenere on top. So that is one mistake. I also had to finx up some oversprayed primer. The biggest issue with this kit is not that it has a bad fit (which it does not), but that it lacks detail. Overall though a great fun build. I did up a small base for it as well. This kit will later form part of a larger project for a German Airbase I am working on.
