    Classic Airframes 1/48 Blenheim mk1

I bought this old kit off the Blenheim societies stand at last years Duxford flying legends air show. They only wanted £40 for it, which was very reasonable as I've seen them on eBay for £75 plus. It's a short run type kit with resin cockpit and wheel bay parts.the main airframe is injection mounded plastic with no locating pins. This is one of the better ones of this type of kit and it went together without any problems. The decals were quite good. But I managed to mess up the fin flashes. So I had to mask and paint these.Wing tip and landing lights had to be cut out and scratch built. The model is finished as an aircraft of no.62 sqdn serving in Malaya in December 1941.

Nice build Dave. I wonder if the cockpit glazing was designed on a Friday, and the design team were in a bit of a hurry ?

Great looking Blenheim Dave. Must have been a fair amount of time taken to mask all that glazing.

I was able to get a masking set for it Joe. Made the job a lot easier.
