    RN Phantom F-4K Fujimi 1:72

Well it's finished. I've wanted one of these RN Phantoms for ages, it was the extended front gear I liked. So, it was an old kit, which will turn 30 years old sometime this year. It went together quite well with the only real problem being the decals. If you build one of these, buy new decals.

And finally, here it is with its American cousin.

Are you going to get one of the new tool Airfix RN Phantoms when they come out later this year ?

Great result Colin. Very good job on the canopy ... and oh those decals look like they took some time so superb effort mate.

Thanks all for having a look. I can't say I'm totally happy with the finish. The fight with the decals was a bit disappointing, also, I'm sure it's a satin finish, it all looks a bit mat here.

The nice thing about building modernish aircraft is that, yes, pictures are all over the place. Even some jacked up like this one ready for take off.

Well now, that will be a far better kit than this one, and this certainly isn't bad. So, I might just be tempted, except, apart from the detail, it will look very much the same.

Come on now Peter, pull your finger out. That lovely shiny gloss black paint must be dry by now.
