    Italeri 1/72 Jaguar GR 1

    Hi All,

This is my completed Italeri Jaguar GR1. It was built for the Aircraft of the Cold War 2017 GB.

    Build Summary

There were quite a lot of fit issues with this kit, many gaps and indents that needed to be sanded. Once the problem areas were fixed this kit isnt too bad. I like the detail and weapons load out. I chose to keep weathering to a minimum with panel lines and some basic fading. As always I am always concerned with the build, paint job and finish and not with historical inaccuracies or rivet counting.

I hope you all take the time to watch the reveal and build videos, as they do take quite some time to make.

It looks rather nice. And it got me thinking about warmer places than here today.

That's a beautiful result Bob. Fading and panel lines are spot on.

Good job, Bob!! An excellent start in 2018!!:thumb2:
By the way, I recently read an article in a German aircraft magazine about a Jaguar that was mistakenly shot down over Germany by a British phantom in the 1980's. Fortunately, the pilot was able to get off by parachute in time.
A wreck piece of the Jaguar is still in a remembrance room of the unit to which the phantom belonged. As the fighter say......."A Kill is a Kill"!!! I think it's the 82nd Squadron.:relieved:
