I wouldn't worry about doing anything else to it, that is a superb worn look.

Thanks again gentlemen for having a look. I mentioned previously I wasn't sure what the final finish should look like, I just wanted a weathered nmf. Consensus seems to be, it's just about right. Thanks for your input everyone.

Looks very nice Colin, nice weathering of the anti-glare panels and decals too.:thumb2:

Missed this Colin as June was a busy month for me. Very well done especially the anti-glare panels. Not all planes had variations on their metal finish, perhaps the shades were because of the direction the panel was milled. I often add white and browns to the silver mix and using two pieces of L shaped mask randomly pick panels to dust over.

                  My P-47 with panel variation...

                  Cheers,
                  Richard

Good point. I also think a lot has to do with the very slight 'dents' in the skin which reflect light in different ways.

Superb work (as stated above)! You nailed it. You managed to capture the look of a well used plane by adding just the right amount of wear and tear.

Stunning work Colin. Certainly no need to do any more tinkering. One to be proud of
