    Airfix 1/48 Seafury

This new kit from Airfix is a good one. It went together easily and needed hardly any filler. I’ve read a few reviews of the kit that complain about one of the fuselage halves being short shot. Mine had this problem. But it was only a small area of the fin leading edge missing on the right hand half.A bit of filler sorted it out easily. I painted it using Humbrol and Xtracolour enamels. Then florymodels dark dirt and black washes. And finally sealed with Alclad Matt varnish. The other model in one of the pics is the old Hobbycraft Seafury for comparison.

That's real nice Dave. I've got the Wyvern, Sea Hawk and Gannet...looks like I have to add this in the mix as well. Looking for a Firefly.

            Cheers,
            Richard

Thanks Richard. I’ve got those three kits as well. Will probably fold the wings on the Wyvern as well as I like the look.

That'sa real beauty Dave. Hadn't seen this kit before, looks like it's a winner. The old Sea Fury has seen a bit of sun and dust by the looks of it, but they make a good pair.
