    Academy 1:72 Typhoon

I haven't posted any of my work for a while.

So thought I'd put up this.

It's the first go at weathering, so all comments and advice gratefully recieved.

Looks good Tony. Only thing i would have done personally is put a little staining (not much mind) where the rockets fired. They were very dirty in their combustion

Yes you are right, and I didn't put any exhaust staining on either now I look again.

      Learning as I go

Is there a tutorial for hand painting soot and hot gas staining? must look

Nice. Am considering a Typhoon for a future build and this looks very good indeed.

Does your camera have a "Macro" option out of interest?? ;-)

            Thanks for all good comments.

No Rob, I use my i-pod's camera function.

Nice Typhoon Tony. I've built a couple of academy kits and for price per detail find them great. I don't suppose you had any real problems with this did you ?

                  Thanks again for good comments.

To answer you Colin. the build was quite easy, other than the fact that some of the parts were really, really small.

Don't have much problem with building, painting now thats another thing entirely - (wish there was a smilely that looked like "the scream")

Very nice-looking build, Tony. 1/72 Academy are great value for money aren't they? Look forward to seeing your next build : )

Thanks to Alex and Tony for the kind comments.

I have 1:72 P38 on the go at the minute.

Gonna try to post a WIP for this one.
