Very good job, Ian. Nice paintjob.

Spinner looks kind of not attached or something. What is it?

              Thanks for the kind words.

Ljubo; The Rotol spinner on a Hurricane was a bit to large, this was rectified on later marks by the addition of an "oil catcher" on the nose cowling that stop oil blowing directly onto the windscreen. So it good enough.

                  Excellent job Ian, well done.

Willie McKnight was one character. He was a crack shot and a very popular member of Bader's 242 Sqn. He survived the B.O.B. only to be shot down and killed during a 'Rhubarb' around the Calais area in early '41.....

                  Cheers,

                  Ron

Forgot to add Mcknight won the D.F.C. and Bar in just one year..1940 and was only 22 when he died.....Brave men from both sides lost their lives far too young.

Yes, rhubarbs were costly for allied airmen, but there was no shortage of flyers wanting to 'Nip across and have a squirt.'

Sorry Ian, I've wandered a bit off thread..
