    Revell sopwith triplane 1/72 'Finished'

Well here it is ,done. The tiny little sopwith triplane. This was a really surprising build, i cant believe how much i enjoyed it! The finished model is about 3" long and quite delicate but I still think of Dastardley and Muttley every time I look at it!! (young uns - Google 'catch the pigeon' or 'the dastardley and muttley show' !!!) Heres the pics comments /criticisms (and observations of the mistakes) welcome, cheers tony:beer:

Another cracker straight out of the top draw Tony.

At 3" I could barely see the damned thing, never mind build it!

    Cheers

That is not a model but a miniature work of art.

        Big 5 for sure.

        Cheers,

        Ron

              Lovely model, as ever.

Never ceases to amaze me how fast you can work and still turn out, as Ron says, works of art.

              Thanks for sharing.

              Tony.

Definitely a 5* build. I would have trouble working that small. The wood-grain on the prop is very convincing and the rigging also looks great.

Thanks for the kind comments everyone, im glad no one spotted the mistake -- the touch ups on the wings are a slightly different sheen to the rest of the model , i forgot to go over them with the matt varnish oops!! (everyones going to be looking now!! = photo 6) cheers tony

                      Of course I spotted it.....

                      A) I thought it was just weathering.

                      B) As you know from Cosford, I am far too polite to mention such an appauling error.

                      C) I talk tosh!

                      Cheers,

                      Ron

LOL you got that right Colin.....wrong in so many ways....

Tony: I said it it the build thread but I will say it again that is a real gem! And in 1/72!!!

Very nice work overall. As far as the touch ups on the wing. Sod it! I am sure that the real ones got repaired after a sortie and only got a total repaint rarely.
