    BAC Kronfeld Drone

The Drone was a design based around a glider with a small pusher engine,Robert Kronfeld was a well known glider pilot in pre war days, the model shown was used by RAF officers for early morning grouse shooting patrols with a hand gun flown low over swampland, bizarre but true !
Model was made from firewood bundle from local hardware store, wheels are buttons filled with Squadron filler, various barbecue sticks well sanded flat for the wing struts, wing ribs were cotton bound around the wing and covered with doped tissue.

    Barry .
You must have the patience of a saint !
Thought building a kit was satisfying but this takes it to another level when you think of what it was produced from .:flushed:

I like making my own parts, each part is a model in itself,a saucpan is a cowling to me and if you see a chap in a deerstalker picking materials from a skip then thats me !
