This model was virtually the first model that I ever built at the age of 8 years old,although it looks fairly simple the construction is fairly fiddly as the model is only a mere 12 inches wingspan,the replica is even finished down to the yellow/blue tissue of the original,the original 1944 plan is build worn and I restored the blueprint drawing as the creases were falling apart at the seams.
These fly really well especially with a carefully hand carved balsa propeller,the model gave a young lad lots of flying fun in the back field to our house and this one will continue to do so too especially on calm still evenings rekindling those memories of youth.
