This is the most important and cherished model in my collection, built in 1941 by my father from firewood whilst serving in the RAF and undergoing his flying training at Lakeland,Florida with Uncle Sam,the model is of the aeroplane he was training on the Boeing PT-17 Stearman Kadet trainer.
Because the awful weather in the UK was holding up flying training they shipped the pupils to undergo training on the famous Arnold scheme.

The finish was from actual dope on the real aeroplane.
