    1/48 Tamiya FW190 AB/AB8 R2

Forgot to do this as I built it but it was a very straight forward, well fitted together kit. Really exceptional. Close ups don't do justice to what was a fairly complex paint job. My first go at mottling as well. I used a brush and to me its OK. Not sophisticated and looking at some pictures nor were many. As usual it looks really nice in the flesh and I'm very happy with it.

Also my first go at weathering and some panel wash, particularly underneath. I was pleased with a slightly tired looking cockpit surround thats seen some action

Great result Gary. I enjoyed building mine until I messed it up at the last hurdle lol.

If you want something similar their Bf109 is an even better kit in terms of fit & engineering. No surprise since it's nearly 20 years newer!

The 109 is on my list Andy. As well as the Hurricane. then I'll have the Spit, Hurricane, FW190 and 109.

Nice job - there really is somethig about the way a 190 sits that just looks 'right' and you have captured the look.

As above, your 190 certainly has the look. Nice job on the build.

D'oh! I've just realised this is 1/48. Always hard to tell from pictures when they're all the same size.

Sorry, scrub my recommendation of the Bf109, I was referring to the 1/72.

Thanks guys. I agree that the 190 has a certain look that is just right. It looks like it means business
