    1/32 Trumpeter F6F 5N Hellcat night fighter

Well this ones finished at long last don't know why it's taken so long. There were no real issues although the fuselage halves were a challenge to get together. I followed Steves lead on the reverse masking of the stars and bars which worked really well. The tail wheel is very fragile and I protected it all through the build but it snapped off whilst taking the final photos. So for all you eagle eyed there is a brass rod supporting it. This particular planes squadron has some interesting nose art which is quite rare for Hellcats .I did managed to find photo of the exact plane although it doesn't have the canons.

Superb, brilliant job. How about a close up of that nose art?

        What a lovely job Vaughan!
I know you had some trials and tribulations with this one, but they have been well and truly overcome.
Pride of place on the shelf I suspect

        Cheers

        Steve

Thanks gents and just for you Barry here's the nose art not too close as the decal isn't the best quality as made up of many dots so as a result looks really naff close up.

No room at the inn as they say, the shelves are full  but she takes the pole position on the wall.

Hi Vaughan. Fantastic result, and nice that you were able to find photos of the real life airframe. I like your wall mounting idea, very cool
