Zvezda 'Snap Fit' 1/144 LA- 5FN Soviet Fighter.

A great bit of diversional, and relaxing fun.
Superb fit, and for a small scale, some nice detail. The pilot's head acts like a locating pin when the snap on canopy is pressed into place - click!

Brush painted and weathered with Vallejo Model Air.

Thanks Ian and Si for taking your positive posts.

Due to total ignorance on the subject of WW2 Russian aircraft, I presumed the paintwork would be just plain green. I've had a nose on t'internet and seen the diverse camouflage on these things. It would seem the erks were given the brown paint and told to get on with it! So I've got the brushes out again, re-painted the model with camo. and added other paint 'Things' I didn't know about.

570 I thought you never bothered with what purists say. Looked good as it was in green with the light blue underside.

453, no I don't, but it just looked kinda' plain looking - Rather like a Russian Tank.. :tongue-out: So when I saw all the camo. variations etc., the temptation was too great. I mucked it up a bit more, and it still has a blue bum too!

              Yours.
