    Interesting SAAF North Africa thread

    Hi all.

    Here is a link to a thread on the "SAAF forum" of the times of the SAAF in North Africa during WW2 with some very interesting pix and stories.

    Fantastic pictures Theuns,thanks for the link. I don't know much about the SAAF in North Africa but it's images like that which will set me off on a quest for more info,great stuff.

    I love it when stuff like this turns up.

    If our South African friends don't know BN173 was one of a batch of 35 aircraft in the sixth production block from Hawker Aircraft Limited,produced at Brooklands and Langley. Aircraft from this block were delivered between 24/7/41 and 18/3/42. Total number of aircraft in this block was 1,350 so they weren't hanging about!
