    Matchbox/Revell 1/48 Skyraider

Finally finished the Revell boxing of the Skyraider for the Matchbox GB. Not a completely horrible kit, but certainly not shake & bake either. Lots of sink marks to fill, and let down at the final stage by some decals being the wrong size, but here it is finished:

Yes, the wings still fold, the prop turns, and the rudder swivels!
    Cheers

Well Pete, the fit and finish of your build makes it look like a very modern offering. Sure, it's an old kit and some surface detail is lacking, but it still looks very nice. Good job.

There was some more surface detail Colin, but with all the filling and sanding it disappeared! Thanks for the compliment though.

Super work Pete, that's a nice clean finish. The overall sea blue scheme really brings the shape out, rather than the SEA camouflage usually seen.

                Saves masking too! Thanks Joe.

Sorry missed this crossing the finish line. That's looking very good indeed!

I'm a little disappointed in the finish on the wings. It was looking smoother before I put the Mr Color on, but I think the levelling thinner reacted with the primer a little. The drop tanks weren't primed and have come out much better.
