    Airfix 1/48 JU87-B1

Here is my latest completed build. It's the fairly new issue of Airfix's 1/48 JU87. I have had this one ongoing over the past couple of months and it went together pretty well. It was my first attempt with some Eduard PE seatbelts. The belts weren't too bad, but as for the miniscule parts to hold the belt to the seat! The whole was airbrushed with Model Air although no clear coats were applied following a bit of a disaster on another build - maybe I'll have another go at that on the next one. The other area I really want to improve is transparencies. Masks help a lot, but I seem to manage to ruin a lot of the help they give when I try and remove them..... Oh well, here are the pics:

Looks good to me. Splinter camouflage is nice and sharp, and the cockpit looks fine as well.

What a great job! Well done, Nick. A pleasure to look at. The one in my stash might have to get a higher priority.

                Hi Nick,

A very fine finish there Sir!!! I always liked this bird and have been eying them up in 1/32 for later. A question if I may, Did you use a gloss coat before you applied the decals? There is no silvering to be seen anywhere....

If no, tell us your secret so I can nip it for my next wing thingy build. Thanks!!!

                Prost

                  Thanks Guys.

I think I just got lucky with the decals Allen and the photos flatter my efforts a bit. They are just the Airfix decals apart from the 'not to be mentioned' tail emblem which came from an xtradecal set.

I shied away from applying any clear coat after messing that up on another build that I might shamefully put up on here later and decided to get this one over the line before I messed it up.
