    1/72 Italeri F-35B & Xtrakit Sea Harrier FA.2 - a VSTOL display

Whilst the forum was down and the weather kept me indoors I finally finished the project I started last year with the Lightining II build.

I knew that I wanted to display the Lightning 'posed' in the landing stages and after I picked up the FA.2 from Hannants to bulk out an order I settled on making a Royal Navy VSTOL display. I have mentioned several times my affection for the Harrier and I wanted to display the new whilst celebrating the old. I've also included the Hasegawa Harrier FRS.1 I completed previously.

    So here we are.

    Hi Chris
That is excellent. You display idea is unusual and works well.

Here's a pic on the shelf that shows it how it's supposed to be viewed.

It had never occurred to me how much bigger the F35 is compared to the Harrier... nice collection.

            Thanks Jim and Nick!

I would describe the F35 as 'fat' when compared to other RN planes!

Hi Chris, a very nice dio,
you've gotta love anything that can hover under it's own power, and not fall out of the sky like a dead pigeon..

love the finish on all three builds... :thumb2:

                      Thanks Chris!

I need to work on those pictures. I wasnโ€™t ironing the bed sheet for the photos, but I need to figure a backdrop out for these.
