Hawker Hurricane MkIID, Trumpeter 1/24 scale

A decision was made to take advantage of the Hurricane’s stable gun platform to fit it with a large 40ml cannon under each wing to act as a tank killer. The eight machine guns were stripped out, leaving just one in each ŵing with which to fire tracers to help aiming.

6 Squadron enjoyed significant success in the desert and retain the nickname today of ‘The Flying Can Openers’.

The Trumpeter is probably the best Hurricane in 1/24 scale and is thoroughly recommended

Well that does look great. I don't know why but I think these and the spitfire look much lighter and faster in dessert camo.
