    Yaks 'Century Series' in 1/48 part 4 -The Lockheed F-104 C Starfighter Completed pics

    Hi all heres the fourth instalment in the ongoing series . this is the Monogram kit of the f104c with added eduard cockpit details and a resin exhaust .             Superb finish Tony.
            I'm not a fan of 'Modern Stuff', but I know a cracking model when I see one and this fits the bill!

            Me thinks you are chuffed with the exhaust burning and quite right too!

                  Thanks so much everyone , glad you like it . I always liked the early Starfighters , basically just find the biggest jet engine you can get and strap a man on top ! The later incarnations with wingtip tanks and camo spoilt the look a bit in my opinion but still a massively powerful machine . Cheers tony

                      What was it the pilots called those. Rockets with wings?

                      Nice heat marks on the tail pipe

                        Cheers ian , i think the tag line ( probably from lockheed too ) was ’ missile with a man in it ‘ , probably not the best pilot recruiting policy !
