    1/72 A-6E Intruder & A-7E Corsair II

These two have always been favourites of mine and I fancied giving them a go, so I picked up the Italeri Intruder and the Hobbyboss Corsair.

Before anyone jumps up to point out something which will be obvious to all plane fans, let me explain.

The Royal Navy have a history of utilising US planes and I thought it might be fun to imagine what the 70's might have looked like if we hadn't deployed the Buccaneer and Vixen to operate alongside the Phantom, instead opting to procure both the Intruder and the Corsair to fulfil those roles.
This was also an opportunity for me to play around with weathering the paint which is something I would not risk normally but since these two are pure fantasy anyway I had nothing to lose.

    I hope you approve!

Great job on the finish Chris. I must say the RN livery really suits them as well.
        , especially the Corsair.

          Hi Chris
Those are great. "What if" builds are always fun.

            Thanks guys!

I thought the same Tim, the Corsair doesn’t look ‘that’ out of place.

If I’m not careful this could become a new theme!

It would be nice to splash some colour on them wouldn’t it.
