AMT Grumman f7f -3 tigercat finished

Heres the AMT tigercat , a good kit , let down a bit by dodgy rubber tyres and poor decals . Not massive problems but if you are in the market for a tigercat i’d recommend the Italeri rebox of this kit .build thread can be found here- https://www.scale-models.co.uk/threa...igercat.37520/ Thanks for looking , as always comments criticisms welcome , cheers tonyClick image for larger version

Tony an outstanding build great detail and fantastic paint job. The radial engines look the real deal. To top it all the photos really show off the finished plane.

Tony, really nice finish and the panel work gets even better under sunlight.

                    Cheers,
                    Richard

C'mon Tony, quit showin' off Sir!!!!............Seriously though, I never realized the fuselage was so thin and the engines so immense in comparison. You've turned out a real gem here and the paint job and decaling is tops Tony! Gonna muck up the tires or leave them as they are...........

Thanks allen , yes its a very thin fuselage isnt it ? The pilots couldnt afford to be broad shouldered !! Im going to leave the tyres as they are , these machines saw very little post war service so i kept the weathering and chipping to a bare minimum. Cheers tony
