    1/72 Airfix Bae Hawk T.1

This is one of my recent build completions. Airfix 1/72 Hawk T.1, the original A02005 Red Arrows kit. Using references, an Aden cannon and pylons sourced from spares of a Revell Hawk, main decals from Xtradecal Sheet No.72166, and stencils from spares, I built this to represent Hawk T.1 XX230 (No.129), No.63 Squadron, 1 TWU, RAF Brawdy, 1979. I acquired the kit a number of years ago, it had some damaged parts including a cracked windshield, which I repaired using Humbrol Clearfix and Tamiya Polishing Compounds, building up the lip with PVA glue. She's not perfect, but I'm happy I was able to rescue it and turn it into an acceptable shelf model.

Great job Joe. I grew up on a 'diet' of Hawks as a kid on my holidays in Wales. Funny thing is, I still need a Hawk for my training section.
