    Revell 1/32 BF110 C/2

Hi it's been a while since I posted a completed build 7 months I think. This a re-boxing of the Dragon kit without the resin and p.e. Detail is very good instructions from Revell are a bit iffy in places but you can get by. I invested in some Eduard masks and pre-painted seat belts. Having looked at the exhausts provided I decided to order some resin replacements from Quickboost. Build went ok there're a few fitting issues regarding the engine nacelles they only work if you intend to have the engines on display which I didn't. So some work is required to make them fit. I decided to build the version with the wasp nose art I fully expected it to be a real pain due to the size of the decal but Micro Set and Micro Sol did the trick. It's not perfect requiring some touching up with a brush but I'm happy with the result. While we're on the decals these must be the worst Revell decals I've used. They are always on the thick side which is ok they just need some work with decal softeners. These decals were printed in 2019 so you would expect the registration to be spot on but no the Red 'A's have a lovely white drop shadow even the balkenkreuz are out of registration for the upper wings. Anyway enough writing here are the photos. I hope you guys like it all comments welcome.(there's an orange Hue on the right side of each photo my fault I left an led light on)

        Vaughan

One of my all time favourite planes.

Alan couldn't have put it better and as Steven said it can't be small at this scale.

Very well done indeed a truly outstanding finish.

        ATB.

Always love seeing the finish of your planes Vaughan and this is a beauty. If only my Fujimi kit wasp decals survived the flood I would have built one i 1/48 too. Wonder if AM decals will fit as good?

                    Cheers,
                    Richard

I have one of these half completed (1-87 scale) for the past 20 year............one of these days I'll get around to finishing it. Yours is the Bomb, an awesome accomplishment. Rick H. :thumb2: :thumb2:

Stunning result Vaughan. Superb paint work and detailing. I think the orange hue of the LED adds some contrast to the photos, I quite like it :thumb2:
