    Completed Airfix Focke Wulf fw190 F-8 1/72

Heres my spotty little Focke . Its the Airfix kit with the decals from the Revell kit to represent an aircraft from I. SG 4 . Slachtgeshwader 4 was formed in Italy in 1943, this particular aircraft based in Piacenza in 1944 .The kit (A-8) needed a slight bit of alteration to represent an F-8 but nothing serious . All comments observations welcome , cheers tonyClick image for larger version

What a great result. I enjoyed the build and the camo paint job is outstanding. One to be proud of.

thanks everyone ,means a lot . And extra thanks to Alan for letting me pick his brains . I got a fresh perspective on the fw190 building this . I find that to actually build an aircraft , hold it in your hands and see it in 3d , from all angles ,really gives you a feeling for it - when the airframe takes shape is my favourite part of a build ,thats when you really get to know and appreciate an aircraft . Cheers tony

                            Very nice model, Tony.
One question, if I may: it's just my impression or that 190, being stationed in Piacenza, was painted with Regia Aeronautica paints? Even the scheme, to my eyes, is more Italian than German.
