    1/72 Hasegawa Sepecat Jaguar GR1

Took me a longer time than I wanted to get this one done. Hasegawa's 1/72 Jaguar GR1 finished as XX732 with No.54 Squadron at RAF Coltishall, October 1979. Unfortunately this aircraft was destroyed on 27 November 1986 whilst at No.226 OCU, on Stock Hill near Hawick with the loss of a USAF exchange pilot.

All OOB except the drop tanks which were donated from an Italeri Tornado kit.Main paint work and varnishes were Humbrol enamels, the metallics acrylics from Ammo. Speed brakes are a real pest on this kit, and after attempting to drill them out I was not satisfied with the result so I used decal strips. Thankfully they're not too prominent.

    Hope you enjoy my Jaguar!

The Jaaaaag. One of the others you just have to like.
A great result Joe, you got the brakes sorted I see.
I have never done a wrap-a-round camo on an RAF bird. Might have to do one now, Though in a scale I can still see, lol.

        Nice one

Very nice, Joe. I like to see models based on actual aircraft rather than just generic ones.

Smashing work Joe, it looks great :thumb2:

These beauties used to regularly fly low over where I lived back in the 1980s

Me too Pete, although it's gotta be 1/48 for me....which narrows it down somewhat :unamused:.

Very nice Joe. The 54 sqn markings are quite eye catching.
