    DaveCov's Novo (ex-Frog) 1/72 Bleriot XI (F173)

My build of the Novo (ex-Frog) 1/72 Bleriot XI (F173)

The rigging inside the fuselage was difficult because the fuselage sides and floor were moulded in one piece. If they had been separate then life would have been so much easier. Even so, it was a very satisfying build.

      Very nice indeed Dave.
Strength isn't about what you can do, rather it's about overcoming what you thought you couldn't do.

Excellent work Dave. As Ian says, the rigging must have been very tricky, especially the inter-fuselage stuff.

That's excellent Dave. Must have required great bravery to actually fly one.

Definitely, Jim. He flew over the Channel at a speed of 45mph at a height of 250 feet and took 35 minutes to do the 22 miles. At the time of his flight, Bleriot had a foot injury from a test flight accident as well.

BTW, it takes a lot of bravery (of a different kind) to rig these thing too!

                  Thanks Colin. :thumb2:

I am currently watching "Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines" on DVD. I was going to watch it during the build of this Bleriot XI but decided not to as the rigging may well have suffered from all of the laughing.
