    1/48 Tamiya Mosquito

Something out of my comfort zone as I normally build military vehicles (armour and softskins) and the occasional figure.

This is RAAF Mosquito SB-Y (PZ452) of 464 Squadron lost on 4th February 1945 while returning to Thorney Island after a raid.

The crash occurred around a mile from where I live and is commemorated locally.

The kit went together easily. Decals are a mix of kit, Extradecal and home printed.

A nice build for sure, I am especially moved by the loss of those 2 young Airmen at such a young age of 21 and 22 years old, unbelievable what our 21 year olds were up to 79 years ago.

A very tidy build of what is probably my favorite prop' aircraft.

Lovely work Mark. The Mosquito makes a great subject to model.
