Thank you Mr Airfix. When this release was announced, it was a 'want' from me. Straight to the bench when arriving, getting right in the way of my D day build.
Troubles ? the trailing edge of the wings need a bit of work to make them a better fit, as did the fuselage seam, on my build anyway. My inlet manifold was squashed which I had to rectify.
But, the kit, nice plastic to work with, the decals were brilliant, with no noticeable carrier film.
But what really caught my attention, the engine, I do like a nice engine and Airfix have given us one here. When finished, there's a lot of weight up front !
Picture 1, on my mk1 generic small piece of field - some of you have seen this before.
On top of the wing, you can see what looks like an upside down gun. Talk about confusing. It turns out, some old Lewis guns were converted for use as a gun camera.
One last thing about the Bristol Bulldog, it was one of these aircraft that Douglas Bader, had his accident, apparently only 18 months after joining the RAF.

The tiny prop'driven generator provides power for the radio. As radio's weren't always carried, this was removable.

And finally, another interwar Airfix classic, but this is actually a classic, not a new tool kit. The Hawker Fury.

Any comments or questions please fire away.
