If you played around with the distance of the paper from the model, wouldn't that work for larger scales as well? I've got a 1/48 Me 262 that I'm scared to start 'cos I don't know how to get the mottled finish.Gern

Come on now, you're having us all on, that's really 1:24 with a big tin of dulux emulsion painted to look like a Tamiya Acrylic pot isn't it.

Just for those as what did not know, Airfix are doing a series of 1:100 scale prepainted models with display stand, lovely paint and detail and plan to get one myself, (it's a shame in a way it's already painted but...)
Link to one below, (the first I found) and a bargain at less than a fiver too.
Airfix 1/100 Messerschmitt Bf109F Mini Kit - A50072 - £3.95
hi mike, the airfix prepainted kits are,i believe, japanese "gashapon" kits repackaged by airfix. They are sold in japan in a kind of plastic egg in a vending machine (the 'gashapon'is supposedly the sound it makes when it comes out of the machine ,kind of like a japanese version of 'plop'!). Im not sure who makes them but they are excellent little things, very detailed and very well finished.Ive seen the 109f myself and its fab. cheers tony
