    Tamiya 1/100th BAC Lightning F6.

    Hi guys,

This is the little 1/100th Lightning from Tamiya.

Its length is 6 inches long and has a wing span of 4 inches wide, so she's a little 'nipper'

This kit is quite old but goes together quite well and i'm happy with the outcome, no super detailing just careful painting and a 'wash'

to bring out the panel lines and the nose ring is just ally sticker backed foil, i decided to put it on the stand showing it as in flight.

    I think she's a RAF Binbrook 5Sqd Lightning.

    Enjoy......

    Thanks for looking.

    ian.

That looks superb Ian. The Lightning was one of those aircraft that stood out from the crowd, it had charisma. You have done a wonderful job of depicting it in this fairly small scale. Great job.

PS Just noticed your avatar an' it reminded me of Sunday. You're not so far away - had you thought of boarding the Skylark with the rest of us?
