74 sq the tiger squadron. Spitfire MK I

Just found out that I had not posted this one, so here it is. It is the first of many in a collection of Aircraft from 74 Sq the Tiger squadron.

Its the Tamiya 1/48 with Eduard cockpit PE. As per the norm it went together with out any drama. Paint on this one is xtracrylix.

Very nice Ian. I remember as a kid that I used to think the black and white underside was a mistake so I always painted them blue (probably not even sky lol)

Lovely job and always good to see someone take on the difficult task of the black and white undersides. It certainly gets the grey matter thinking when trying to work out the weathering colours.

              Hi Ian

Very nice Spitfire and I'm looking forward to the rest of the Tiger squadron aircraft too. I completed the same kit some time ago with almost the same underside (mine has one black wing but the black doesn't extend to the fuselage). It'll be great to see them all together and a nice bit of history.

              All the best

              Paul
