P-51 Splinter Camo, Finished

Well here it is, just a little side project after finding a picture of early camo schemes.

After a base white coat I took a few hours and cut and masked the splinters and then over sprayed with black, then Olive drab wings.

Its an eye catcher

Well I would hardly call it camouflage, LOL but a very good disruptive scheme.

Thanks all appreciate the nice comments, the P-51D I built was a £4 kit laying around and the actual pics show an earlier version, it was just a momment when I wondered could I do it
