Fantastic photo Tony :thanx: Dave has a point, a Beaufort would look right at home in that group.

Thanks for the stars Ian! The rear gunners dome isnt too bad as far as thickness goes , i think it just catches the light badly cause its right up on top, the pic taken from straight overhead shows it a bit better. I did think about crashing a replacement but it was supposed to be a " quick" build so didnt bother!! cheers tony

          Cracking build Tony, great result.

After a Spitfire, I think this was the next aircraft I built, way, way back - and great to see one again!

          Big 5!

A great build Tony with some nice pre-shading. The scratch building and alterations have come out well. Could you explain the crash moulding.

Thanks guys , Vaughan the crash moulding for a small part like this couldnt be simpler. I just got a piece of clear acetate (from a chocolate box if i recall , but loads of types of packaging have clear bits on them) , I then got the kit part , stuck it on a wooden stirring stick , then heated the acetate over a candle and when soft enough , pushed the kit part into it . I had several attempts and chose the best one , cutting it out with fine scissors . The beauty of this is that the clear acetate used in packaging is plentiful so it doesnt cost anything to experiment . cheers tony
