    41(F) Sqn Phantom - 1974

Herewith my 1/48 Revell/Hasegawa Phantom FGR2, displayed as a 41(F) Sqn jet in the recce fit circa 1974. Part of my ongoing quest to build all of my old Sqn's aircraft in 1/48!

Cracking model. Phantoms had just been retired as I joined up and I used to hear some great tales from the ex-Phantom lineys.
On the bench: Airfix 1/48 Sea King HC4, Revell 1/24 Trabant.
Coming soon: Airfix 1/72 Phantom FGR2.
Just finished: Airfix 1/48 Stuka & Airfix 1/72 Sea King HC4.

I'm an ex Phantom airframe fitter (12 years on them) and I'd say this is a great model of one.The seats look real.Definately not the Hasegawa ones.Who are they made by?.Must do another RAF Phantom myself.

Actually, the seats are the Revell/Hasegawa ones, although given the full Eduard RAF Phantom seats set treatment!

Probably one of my favourite jets. And a great model as well.

Nice work, very impressive. I wonder if you flew with my Uncle or my Dad? Or both of them maybe?... would be interested to find out.... they were based (at one time or another) Wattisham, Brawdy, Valley, Cosford, Lyneham....
