Here is my very first proper (non-kid's stuff) model. Spitfire MkIA, Airfix A01071A, 1/72, out of the box (except for the aerial wire). I haven't weathered it - I wanted it to show faults not hidden by washes. The panel lines are very crisp. Perhaps it is a new mould.

Xtracrylix RAF Dark Earth & RAF DARK Green, RAF Sky. Tamiya Clear varnish, Tamiya Flat varnish. Eduard canopy masks. Gunport tapes glued on with Micro Crystal Klear. Aerial wire: "Knitting-in Elastic" by Prym. (Search for knitting elastic). Under a bright light (daylight or incandescent light) the model's colours look roughly the same as in the photos. The canopy painting turned out better than I feared.
