Zvezda 1/144 Tupolev Tu 160 'Blackjack'

Here at last is the finished Tu 160 'Blackjack'. This is the Zvezda 1/144 kit and is a lovely build and a good size even in this scale ,being about 15" across the wings. It is in the markings of bort no 03 named after 2 times Hero of the Soviet Union , Pavel Taran. Taran was a bomber pilot during the war completing over 300 missions. Ive done a couple of pics with aircraft of the same scale to give a bit of perspective , a BF 109 and a MiG 21 pf . Thanks for looking , comments criticisms ,observations welcome , cheers tony

And even at 144 scale it's a really big bird!. Nice to see that I can still read in cyrillic.

Great job Tony. It's difficult photographing something this big, but I can still see the surface detail stand out nicely. Did you highlight the panel lines in any way ?
