A nice build of this unusual Meteor variant.I believe it was a test bed to see if a prone position would enable the pilot to withstand pulling more 'G's without blacking out than in a normally seated position. This was in the days before 'G' suits were invented.

Fantastic build Seb. A weird looking machine. Not sure I'd want to be doing those speeds laying prone. Or indeed with a nose wheel issue!

            Thanks guys!

tony: I've heard horror stories about MPM kits but these Meteors aren't that bad. I've only had some work to do with the engine pods.

That is one beautiful, if quirky build. The paintwork and weathering/panelling is excellent!

Nice looking unusual model. Does Cosford have this actual aircraft?

Yes they do Colin , we've probably walked right past it a few times but been too busy looking at the club stands and traders!!! I think its in the same hall as the TSR 2 . cheers Tony

That's a cracking looking meteor Seb, and definately something a bit different, I like it a lot.
