it is the g14 and i have just noticed the wonky decal on the spinner which was probably the hardest decal i have tried to do and i thought i had cracked it till i saw that picture. also noticed that my pictures look rubbish on the computer.
It is not at all surprising that you thought that Dave. It is actually very difficult to say when a G-6 becomes a G-14! In simple terms the G-14 was supposed to be a new standard version of the Bf 109 incorporating all the modifications introduced during G-6 production. I can safely say that it was not an entirely successful plan. Maybe an idea for an article there
With that taller fin etc I at first thought it may have been a G-10. I have no idea how you tell the difference between a very late G and a K. Be keen to see an article on this Steve if you get the time/inclination to do so.

Most obvious differences.
1 Radio equipment hatch moved forward from section 5 to 4
2 DF loop moved rearwards from section 2 to 3.
Also external.
3 Deletion of circular master compass hatch at section 2
4 Fuel and MW 50 filling points moved forwards from section 3 to 2
Cockpit changed quite a bit but sometimes visible in photos is the absence of the battery cover on the rear cockpit wall which had appeared on earlier MW 50 equipped versions.
There are of course others, but those above are often visible in photos.
I would consider writing an article, or maybe a synopsis. I don't want to make it too difficult, it's possible to write a book!. Something like a quick reference, not necessarily an exhaustive analysis
