Korean War opponents, Mig 15 and F-86.

I've been away from the forum for a while due to health problems, but between times I've managed to get some modelling in. I've always fancied doing a Korean war duo, but was put off building them due to the the shiny NMF. I gave it a go though, and here is the results. the kits are a Hobbyboss MiG 15bis and an Airfix F-86F.

I'm going to have a go at pin washing the panel lines a bit later, but for now they're completed.

Thanks for looking and all comments welcome.

    Tony.

They look great Tony, the Hobby Boss Mig is so much nicer than the Airfix kit.

Nice to see you back Tony. A couple of beauty builds there, both nicely done and very smart. I too am going to have to go and get a MiG 15 and F86...

Glad to hear youre feeling better Tony . Great job on these two, they look good together. I really love the Airfix sabre , a great kit with good choice of decals. The nat metal finish looks spot on in this scale too. cheers tony

Thanks for the great comments guys, and I'm well pleased with these two as I've tried out a few, well new to me anyway, techniques, like sticking the F-86's canopy on with Klear and drilling holes in the MiGs nose to add more lead weight so it sat on its nose wheel, had to drill through the upper body in front of the canopy and if I got it wrong it would have been really obvious. Also the NMF gave me a few scares, the F-86 was primed and painted twice as I b******d up my first attempt and had to clean it all off.

                          Cheers again.
