Great job Ian! And welcome to the 1/32 club. Remember, once in you'll never leave mwah, ha, ha,ha,hargh!!!!

Great paint finish. I think the chipping is just a tad too much too but you've definitely got the technique down and it is only the tiniest bit over the top. The paint work is flawless - thin coats, you can see every bit of detail.

      'Great build' medal for sure!

      Cheers

Excellent build. I think it looks just right for a well worn machine, put it in the right setting and it would be hard to tell from a full size example. Lovely job.

Looks great Ian, the Vallejo Flat gives it a lovely finish; I must try it. What's wrong with the kit canopy that necessitates a resin replacement, and who makes it?

Thanks Mike. The kit canopy is what I would call flat pack! The three sections, windshield, main canopy, and gunners canopy are each made from three parts and have to by glued together......can you see how that could end up!

Ally cat make the resin one and you can find them on http://www.a2zeemodels.co.uk/

Fabulous! That's one beaten-up Arado. I love the engine and cockpit detail, and the chipping is beautifully done. The masking method means it really looks like paint chipped off from aluminium. It's a great subject, too - I love the Arado.

For the price of the kit I could find myself doing another one one day and use the salt method for the chipping.

                              Hi Ian.

The chipping effect looks fine to me.

The chipping on the floats and the underside of the engine looks spot on Ian.

                              Well painted.

                              5 stars from me

                              Cheers Richi

This is a great looking aircraft. Great job with the weathering.
