Hasegawa 1/72 Sea Harrier FRS.1 (Animal Antics GB)

I got it done with time to spare, which I didn't think I'd manage.

I really enjoyed this one, even the PE elements which were designed for the Airfix kit. They were a little out of scale but I think they really add something to the final model.

I was a little disappointed with the decals. They are quite thick and the reds are out of register.

I learned how to stretch sprue, that cheap drill bits from China are brittle and stabby and to check wheel mounted stance BEFORE painting.

Overall I am happy with the outcome and she looks the part in my growing Royal Navy collection.

Thanks to Si & Steve for allowing me to participate in their GB and giving me the motivation to get on with it!

        Looks great Chris!

I've just bought the 1/48 Tamiya version which I'm looking forward to building.

It's frustrating that Tamiya do all the subjects I like in 1/48! I look forward to your build...who knows, it might prompt me to try it.

Very nice Chris. It's always nice to see a Harrier being built.

Thanks Colin. Being one of, if not THE, favourite aircraft of mine I enjoyed it immensely.

I could have typed that sentence ! The Harrier is just something quite unique (obviously) and the Sea Harrier FRS1, the best looking, well to me anyway.
