    Ian M's Mk IV Mustang Airfix 1/48 (Lee's P51 GB)

    Here, at long last, my build of the excellent Airfix Doolybird Which ticked all the right boxes. It was a P51. 'Bare metal' and RAF !
    It was a very nice kit to build with pretty much perfect fit. I almost felt sorry for the toolmaker when I filled the panel and rivet detail in the wing
    The polished metal is Alclad II Aluminium and the painted parts Vallejo Model Air, which I am gradually moving over to.
    I went for the 'Blue' version. Having read all I could find and looked at all I could see I think it could have been blue.
