              I regularly used to see the Wessex’s and Gazelle’s flying from Shawbury as I live just down the road from there. The modern stuff they fly now is very bland in comparison.

                  Yep, the Juno's and Jupiter's just dont cut it.
                  Do you remember when the Jet Provosts used to fly from there ?
                  Then for a while the rumour was that the Americans were going to base some F1-11's there - nothing came of it :-(

                    Yes Steve I vaguely remember them, it was quite a while ago.
                    I hadn’t heard the F-111 rumour, that would have been fantastic if it h as come to anything :surprised:
