    1/24 Bell UH-1 Huey

Hi all. This is my completed Revell 1/24 Bell "Huey".

My first attempt at airbrushing (I've started off just doing the large areas) and I also experimented with washing by creating my own pastel wash. There are a few little area's that I'm not happy with and the fit on some parts is a little off,I should have spent time filling them. I screwed up with the gun belts, the lower guns are being fed the wrong way and because they are rubber and flexible some of the paint has flaked off so it looks messy. The bigger decals on the tail boom aren't positioned correctly and the angle of paint from red to green isn't right either but hey ho.

Overall I'm pretty pleased with how it's turned out, the aluminium chips and weathering have really given it some depth I think.

              Thanks guys.

It was the pics of yours eddiesolo that gave me the inspiration to take pics of mine in the garden. I think I'll leave the led's to people more skilled than I am ;-)

Well it looks ace, TBH I think your looks better than mine, too much wear on mine I think. Led's for the skilled...I agree, in my case it is just blind luck.

Nice Helo. I should build more whirly birds, they always look good.

Dave you did a great job with that old ill fitting kit ! I built one years ago and remember it being a handful . I like the Marine paint scheme as well , you do'nt see that as often. If you can find Canopy glue formula 560 over there it works great in filling the tiny gaps around the edges of clear parts, its water based and dries really clear. Very nicely done Sir!
